Reinstall Mint

Postby fstath » Wed Jul 01, 2009 8:35 pm

I buggered something up with my Mint 7 system and i'm unable to access any folders on my computer. Is there any way to reinstall just the system partition without losing my home folder?

P.S. i'm dual booting XP and Mint7... using the Mint bootloader. Will I have to re-edit the grub file again after reinstall?

If you borked Mint somehow your probably better off doing a clean install/format.

Grub should just reset itself.

Then once you get it all nice again use Remastersys to make a copy. Make a new copy whenever you make good configuration changes.
