Error in Installing/Running Eclipse on Linux Mint

Dear To Whom It May Concern:

I tried downloading and installing Eclipse for Linux on Linux Mint. I received the following error message when I clicked the Eclipse icon to run the software:

An error has occurred. See the log file
/home/luke/.eclipse/org.eclipse.platform_3.8_155965261/configuration/1550350820317.log

I hope you downloaded the correct version 64 bit if your machine is 64 bit. And for Linux Windows package would be different

Thank you for your post. That was a great thought. I did install the 64-bit version for my 64-bit machine and the Linux version of Eclipse for Linux Mint. However, I still have the same error.

Same error while opening Eclipse. Log file generates the same message.
