My computer is suddenly very slow on startup, almost a minute. The following results of inxi -Fxz are provided:

Try if it helps when you boot without the external USB hard disk (sdb) attached.
If not: boot from the Mint DVD, launch GParted, make a screenshot of what it shows about your internal hard disk (sda), and post that screenshot here, by means of
https://postimages.org .

OK, all looks well....
Your best bet might be to simply wait for a redeeming update. If you don't want to wait it out, try this:
Update Manager - panel: View - Linux kernels
Install the latest kernel from the 4.18 series . Then reboot.
