Cinnamon half framrate after boot

I have Linux Mnt 19.1 Cinnamon on a Asus UX31A laptop

Every time I boot, I have to press Ctrl-Alt-Esc to restart the Cinnamon desktop so it get the frame rate right.

I think it started with version 16 or 17

Can I make a script that will restart the Cinnamon desktop after i logon

I try to google it but with no result :-(
