No Wireless for HP Laptop

I have installed Mint on my HP lap top. But no wireless connection available now. What to do? I have tried many thing seen online to establish a wireless connection. Somebody please help me.

I just solved same problem with a new HP laptop over last few days, described in this thread:

. Might be worth a read if you have a Realtek chipset.

In short based on what I learned (Google turned up a lot of links that I tried but did not work), I'd suggest:

- If fresh Mint install, apply all your updates and install latest 5.x kernel.
- Follow instructions at top of this page: https://easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot. ... k.html#ID8 to determine your chipset.
- Find instructions on same page for installing driver for your chipset.

Worked very well for me (after a lot of frustration trying other things).

I also had to do Pjotr's suggestion (in my thread) to check my HP antennas (conection was very poor until I did this): https://easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot.c ... k.html#ID2
