LM 19.1 Tessa Dual Boot & Windows Time Out of Sync Issue (Solution)

Post by jimthedj65 »

Dear All,

I have had issues with my Windows time always being out by 2 hours with my dual boot system, this morning I did a registry edits on Windows 10 and it appeared to solve the issue. Running LinuxMint 19.1 Tessa and Windows 10 Pro Build 17134.885

To fix it, just hit Start and type regedit.exe in the search box. Hit Enter and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation. Right click anywhere in the right pane and hit New > DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name it RealTimeIsUniversal, then double click on it and give it a value of 1.

Lastly, reboot into LinuxMint, then reboot back into Windows. You should now notice that your clock actually displays the correct time.

hope it helps someone.
