[SOLVED] home under Luks + pam unlocking during login on Mint

Post by Stealps » Sun Sep 08, 2019 6:16 am

Hello, I have /home/user folder as a dm-crypt encrypted partition under luks.
I would like to enter password only once during boot, and I know there is a pam-mount package for that, that can unlock my home volume with login password for user.
But Mint showing password prompt for /home/user long before login screen is shown. I may login to different user and this folder shouldn't be used then. Does it reads /etc/fstab and trying to mount everything? How can I disable that?

Found small nice article explaining exactly how to mount luks partition on login

https://curius.de/blog/13-linux/96-home ... -einbinden

You can use chromium translate if you don't speak German.
Looks very simple and works so far.
