New To Linux, running into problems installing

Post by dennismccarson » Mon Sep 16, 2019 7:59 pm

I am trying to install Mint on my laptop. I am connected to WiFi, and have a bootable usb. In fact I am posting this while on the machine running mint.

However when I try to install, once I get to the installing third party apps section, the installer hangs. I let it sit like this for about an hour/hour and a half. Before restarting the computer and trying to reinstall.

Is there something I am missing?

Are you choosing to install the 3rd party items before it hangs?
Seems something to do with your wifi connect not finding.
I have found it fine to disable internet during install and add the needed packages
afterward.

Naw--takes a minute or so to align connections--but if connection cannot be established
the install should proceed normally.
