I have just installed Mint 19.2 on my laptop. I deliberately chose to install without login and password. Now I just get the annoying request to unlock my keyring with my password. All I have achieved is moving this task further down the line !.
Is there any way that I can use Mint without constantly being asked for a password.
I am the sole user, this is an unnecessary annoying task.
Guidance please to save my sanity - thanks in anticipation.

Re: keyring unlock
The keyring prompt isn't standard for Mint; is usually tied to starting e.g. Google Chrome. In any case, another service Google provides would have found you a solution rather quickly. For example http://ask.xmodulo.com/disable-entering ... yring.html

Hi thank's for reply and link, however this is an old 2015 link - I have googled and tried loads of these but none worked because in Mint 19.2 the Keyring feature does not show under passwords, or anywhere else as far as I can see.
In fact I made the same post in 2014:-

Have you looked in the Screensaver settings? In the Screensaver settings, uncheck "Lock Screen when Screensaver in Active".
On this occasion this solution solved the problem.

Re: keyring unlock
... and other than that, the procedure from the link also still works fine on 19.2 for me if you are actually talking about the keyring password. The screensaver password which you now refer to is not the keyring password.
