Dual boot: before moving from win 7 to win10, with Mint 19.2

With M$ squawking about the end of win7 (which I keep around for games), I have to look at "upgrading" the win7 partition to win10, and (of course) hopefully without messing up grub or my linux partition (both on the same SSD), nor messing up the win7 installed programs. If I use the "upgrade assistant", will it do damage? Has anyone gone through the process and uncovered the "gotcha's" that I presume infest the process? Pointers gladly accepted.

Updates are sometimes breaking the grub. Best to backup the partitions using software like Clonezilla before attempting the upgrade.

There is very big risk that Windows 10 will break linux partition(s), so full backup before windows upgrading.
