Will LM 20 install on encrypted SSD?

Post by Terryphi »

I have recently purchased a Micron MX500 SSD with a view to replacing the HDD. Micron says the SSD has AES 256-bit hardware-based encryption . I have read about problems with installing LM 20 on encrypted drives. Does this mean it would be impossible to install it on this SSD? If so, is a fix for this likely to arrive soon. (I realise this is an upstream issue.) The alternative seems to be to install LM 19.3 for now with hope of the possibility of upgrading later if the bug is fixed.

Thanks for the link KM. I was hoping for a simple yes or no!
