Grub Customizer fail

Post by zayno70 »

Hi All,
i have installed grub customizer and configured it. that went well, but when i restarted my machine i got an grub prompt and a text saying that tab shows auto completion, when i hit tab i got a list of commands. when i exit the command promt i get a blank black screen. and i cannot dual boot my machine. i tried booting via usb flash drive and via terminal to remove grub customizer but i could not remove grub customizer.

You have to boot into Mint from the grub prompt then re-install grub from there. That should fix the dual boot situation. Then you can remove grub customizer (which you should not need anyway).

GC complicates grub and can prove impossible to cure.

Restore your baseline Timeshift snapshot. That's what the app is for.
