Hello,
I am hoping to find some help with an issue I am having. I successfully installed Linux Mint 20 alongside Windows 10 on my Dell XPS 15 and everything was working fine. I messed around with my GRUB trying to setup backgrounds and splash and broke my GRUB and managed to fix it using information I found on these forums. Now I have a new problem which I am not sure what caused it since everything was working fine for a bit.
My issue is that my LM boots me to a terminal instead of a GUI. If I enter "startx" i am able to get to the GUI. What kind of information can I post to help troubleshoot this issue ? What else can I try to rule out possible causes and narrow down the possibilities to find the problem?
Thanks

Thank you, this fixed whatever was not working.
Five seconds to fix something I spent a good 8-10 hours trying to solve.
May I ask how you knew this was the likely solution?
Thanks either way
