both 18.2 and 19.3; how to remove 18.2?

Post by elmarts »

I have an old laptop that has on it both mint 18.2 and 19.3. I'd like to clear out 18.2, but can't find out how to do that. Can I be pointed to a tutorial? Thanks.

p.s. is there some way I can simply "move" the home directory from one installation to the other? It's a mass of stuff, and USB seems very slow.

hey elmarts you can use gparted to do that is already installed, but i would suggest you save your files and so own and reinstall linux mint 19,3 and instead of make a duel boot with you have done at this point let linux mint 19.3 use the hole space of the harddrive/ssd and and after reinstalled. restore your files from the backup.

good luck
