edit: solved issue on my own. burned dvd and installed just fine. stupid laptop!!

(solved) can't install mint 20 on motile m141 laptop
i've gone over so many things in searches, my head is spinning now. i'm working on friends a new motile m141 laptop. it's a walmart specialty computer. friend wanted my to install mint 20 on it but i can't get the stupid thing to boot off usb! bios is set to boot off usb key, have turned off fast start, disabled secure boot, but can't get anywhere. i created the usb using rufus on a windows 10 computer.
what the heck do i need to do to get this stupid to boot from usb?
