Hi,
I'm trying to resurrect and oldish desktop pc and use it as a media centre connected to my TV. I've connected it via HDMI and nothing is happening - no output. The PC turns on and all seems ok so far hardware wise. It work d last time I used it.
Is it just a driver issue? I don't have a VGA cable or monitor handy to test a different connection (the cable is fine as I've used it with my laptop.

Maybe different hdmi version.

Is the hdmi port on a dedicated gpu card? If so, go into the bios and turn off "onboard" graphics to see if the Mint system will recognize the tv automatically, using the discrete gpu.
Or you can't even see any screen activity like the bios screen even before Mint starts booting?
