Driver EDUP EP-AC1689 Wi-Fi Adapter

Post by AndrewP »

Hi Friends,
I just went to LinuxMint which I installed on my LIFEBOOK S7110 and which I am perfectly satisfied with. To try to boost the Wi-Fi connection of the router I bought the EDUP 1300Mbps USB 3.0 Dual Band 5.8G / 2.4Ghz adapter ... however I can't install the driver: ((
Is there someone who can help me? In the EDUP site there is the link for the Linux driver ... which I downloaded but at this point complete dark. I know how to open the terminal I tried to enter commands but nothing ...

The configuration is this and the adapter is the Network device-3 :

Try this, one line at a time:

Code: Select all

sudo apt install git dkms
git clone https://github.com/cilynx/rtl88x2bu.git
sudo dkms add ./rtl88x2bu
sudo dkms install rtl88x2bu/5.6.1
Reboot
