After rebooting from yesterday's 5.4.0-73 kernel upgrade, my Logitech wireless mouse has stopped working. Reverting to 5.4.0-72 or earlier kernels doesn't restore mouse function. The mouse pointer is visible in the center of the screen, but doesn't move.
I did the kernel upgrade on three machines that were all working fine before the post-upgrade reboot; one (a laptop, the newest of the three) still works normally, but the other two (desktops) have stopped accepting mouse input. The three machines have the same operating system and same type of mouse. Swapping mice doesn't make any difference.
Numerous reboots haven't resulted in any change. Nor has unplugging the USB mouse transmitter, waiting several minutes and plugging it back in.
I can open a terminal window and type commands, but don't know what to do next.

Re: Lost Wireless Mouse after Kernel Upgrade
OMG! Can I be so stupid? Two wireless mice that were purchased and installed at the same time . . . both mice decide to stop working at the same time just after a Kernel upgrade. Wired mice work fine. What could be wrong? The mouse batteries, of course!
SOLVED. Sorry for bothering the Forum with this. Maybe it will help someone.
