Re: boot up problemo
I am getting the same issue. I rolled back with TimeShift and I think it may have something to do with the update to intramfs-tools. The same update group included Kernel 4.15.0-151.157. The system rebooted fine after all the updates were added, but an "autoremove" command to clean things up, seems to be where it broke.
Re: boot up problemo
the only change(or new thing) i ever did to the usual would be to plug an encrypted usb from windows, not knowing that linux does not accept it hehe maybe a bug from that caused it? im noob af in this techy world.

Linux can read a Windows Encrypted drive:

Another site - not as good:

I used to do this. It isn't 100% fool-proof, but it usually works.
You should fix your boot problem before messing with BitLocker.
