GPIO chip error when booting. [Solved]

Post by timmn1 »

gpio gpiochip2: (gpio_aaeon): tried to insert a GPIO chip with zero lines
gpiochip_add_data_with_key:GPIOs 0..-1 (gpio_aaeon) failed to register, -22

This started when the kernel updated to 5.8.0-63 through Update Manager. I have no idea what to do about it, if anything. Everything seems to be working fine.

Here is the output from inxi:

Someday, maybe I'll figure out exactly what the hell I'm doing.

Go back to kernel 5.4. Your system does not need kernel 5.8. Otherwise, as long as the error isn't spamming dmesg, and everything else is working, ignore it.

It's only mentioned twice in dmesg, but I think I'll go to Kernel 5.4, the next time I boot that computer.

Thanks.
