Setting umask to 0027

Post by JamesDean1969 »

A follow up questions on this one. May I?
I read that some set umask to 0027 in order to improve security of the system.

Do you see benefits in doing so?
In what scenarios would you need the "others" group at all?
If I set umask to 0027 would I have to expect some programs to stop?
