[SOLVED] Unable to boot LM20.2 except to compat mode

Post by Allewyn2 »

Trying to switch from Win10 and my fears seem to be true.
I have to log in by compat mode.
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Nvidia graphics card (I loaded new drivers from Drivers Manager)
My Canon printer works and scans.
Ran Terminal "top" command and didn't see an Nvidia driver running but I don't know that I should at this point.
What else can I try for you? I use the only capture screen that I know is available to me.

When try to close compat mode and start normally, I don't see a grub menu or anything. What I see is a black screen with two green lines at the top with one multi-coloured line over them.
I know there terminal commands to give more info but I'm just setting this up and need help. Thanks in advance :)
Ok, I saw how to get system info from another query here's what it says:

Does it mean something if the wm: muffin has no value? I noticed it's missing in this listing but has a value below.
