[Solved] Should this file 'mkinitcpio.conf' have entries?

My file is empty.
Searching the Internet shows that a HOOK line should be in it and some information. :?

/etc/mkinitcpio.conf should not even exist on Debian/Ubuntu/Mint; its equivalent is /etc/initramfs/initramfs.conf

There is no directory named 'initramfs' on my system.
Mint 20.2

Found the file but not much in it.

/etc/initramfs-tools/initramfs.conf I meant.

Shouldn't be fully empty; man initramfs.conf describes it. More generally, man initramfs-tools for also information on hook scripts and all.
