Today I tried adding a desklet and the my system froze immediately. I have a mouse cursor, but can't do anything. I'm not sure I have the image function turned on
Can I boot to terminal and correct the problem?

VERY slow boot after adding desklts
Intel NUC, I-5, 16 gb ram 1 Tb hard drive. I have been using Cinnamon for several years with no problems, and I must say I'm pleased with it.
Today I tried adding a desklet and the my system froze immediately. I have a mouse cursor, but can't do anything. I'm not sure I have the image function turned on

i've never personally added any desklets, and don't take this as advice, but it might fix it?
