Hey guys,
I could not find my issue in other threads so i decided to make a new one.
It's all about dual boot. So i decided to dual boot Win 7 with Linux mint, the installation was fine and when i asked to restart the system it booted back to windows, i see no grub. The worst part is that i cant see my HDD parttion where Linux mint are, i can see it only in diskmngmt menu. I made boot, root, swap and home partition and all was fine but it is like i never made the installation.
My system: MS-7549 32 bit
AMD athlon II X2 240
Ram: 4gb
Version of Linux i used: Linux mint 19.1 xfce 32bit
Thank you for your time.

Re: Installation Dual boot
It looks like you have a 32bit system. LM 20.x is 64bit so it won't work.

That CPU is 64-bit, not 32-bit.Bonoboking wrote: My system: MS-7549 32 bit

Re: Installation Dual boot
Win does not understand linux so you will not see it in its disk management utilities, use gparted, there is a copy on your mint install stick.
How did you install mint? If 'something else' did you tell the installer what to use the partitions for?
Win7 - probably a legacy install, boot your mint install stick, open a terminal and post the outputs as requested by deepakdeshp.
This gives you other checks on what boot mode you are using:

Re: Installation Dual boot
Oops. We need another dash on that 2nd command:
Code: Select all
sudo parted --list
