Hello.
Recent installation of LM 20.2 XFCE version ended up on weird situation:
- When running Firefox, I got this "your firefox profile cannot be loaded. it may be missing or inaccessible" error
- On boot I got "Cannot create folder Desktop on Desktop"
- Bash prompt starts on / instead of home folder
- etc weird stuff
I even did two reinstalls with different media, but same situation.
Upon investigation I saw the the permissions on /home/user was dr-x------ for the user folder!
All problems disappeared after changing permissions to drwxr-x--- (750) to user.
What could cause this?
I used two different installation sticks and a couple of reinstalls, with updates applied the first thing.
