So the title says it all. It takes about 1:45 seconds from powerup to desktop. Plus there is a delay from when I click the mouse to when an action occurs; I have observed the HDD light on for long periods of time also without doing anything.

Any help to speed this up would be appreciated; this is a new install without much added.
