It could be a problem with Rufus—I don't know it. It could also be a problem with the ACPI implementation on your computer. Did you try booting Linux Mint ISO in compatibility mode? It's the 2nd option in its boot menu.

If compatibility mode doesn't help—all those options and details are superfluous in a ISO writer. Have you tried creating the USB with one of the recommended methods? https://linuxmint-installation-guide.re ... /burn.html

If you can't boot in compatibility mode also not with a USB created with one of the normal tools. which operating system is currently on the computer? Do you have system details like laptop/motherboard make & model, which CPU and graphics card are in it?
