I have an encrypted Linux Mint 20.3 partition installed on a dual boot alongside an unencrypted Windows 7 partition.
Today I started my computer as I do everyday but, after I typed the encryption key, instead of proceeding to Mint's log in screen, my monitor simply went black and displayed the message "invalid format". I tried Boot repair, resetting the BIOS to default settings and even re-installing Mint via the USB stick, but the problem persists. It only starts on the recovery mode of the live installation. Windows starts normally.
I suppose some system update I did yesterday messed up with the resolution or something, but I have no idea how to fix it.

Recovery of encrypted partitions is tricky. You should avoid it. I hope you have backups in case of the worst scene.
