New Version of Mint Upgrade this morning.

Post by harry_fine »

New Version of Mint Upgrade this morning. Worked great for me.

I had done the upgrade last week on my laptop, today on my desktop with the new version. From what I can recall, it asks me more questions about whether I want to keep old configurations or take the new config from the maintainer.

Make sure you keep the graphical and terminal window open and visible during the entire process, otherwise you may miss some prompts for action and it will appear to be hanging (how do I know this :-) )

Everyone's specific installation will vary, but I had to:

Re-install Torguard VPN
Re-set my Google account in Online Accounts
Re-install Moneydance
Re-install PowerPanel for Cyberpower UPS integration
Re-Install my Brother MFC driver package
Re-install viewscan (great paid package, supports every scanner you can imagine)
Re-install XNView free
Re-install InSync
Re-install virtualbox, the Oracle download from their site
Re-install gcalendar and ppa
Re-install Google Drive Ocamalfuse

That all took me about 1/2 hour. Not bad.
