Post by x1ricardo »

Can’t find command ‘grub_platform’ while trying to boot using a pendrive.
I can not find a solution for this.

After an eternity with the black screen it finally booted from the usb. It seemed like a error, that's why I put the post. Apparently it was a matter of waiting a long time.

Did you find a solution? There is one over on AskUbuntu.

I tried it and it works but it is painfully slow. Like 1/10 the normal speed. Be prepared for long, long waits.

If the USB drive is /dev/sdc:

Code: Select all

sudo gdisk /dev/sdc
    Enter r for transformation.
Enter g for converting GPT to MBR.
Enter w for writing to MBR partition.
Enter y to finalize and exit.

sudo fdisk -l /dev/sdc
Don't stop where the ink does.
