Solved:ACPI errors

Post by dave8671 »

I am installing Linux mint 20.3 on to a Thinkpad T440 and I seen boot errors on the screen I looked at the logs.I looked up the First one and found this post below. I have updated the bios to the latest version. The errors above ares till there. I have sound and the earphone jack works fine. I was wondering if I switched to legacy mode these errors would stop? I would think I would need to reinstall mint if I switched to legacy.

If everything works fine I wouldn't bother. I normally ignore all those ACPI messages, they are mostly the result of sloppy bios/uefi implementations.
If you think the issue is solved, edit your original post and add the word solved to the title.

Thanks I tested suspend and it even works. So I am going to leave it alone.
