A couple mouths ago I bought a surface Go 2 as a travel companion. I choose it for the form factor and the fact that it could run Linux mint.
I ran Linux mint from USB to try it out, but after a UEFI update by windows it does not boot any other USB disk besides windows..
I tried everything, different ways of telling windows to boot from USB, contacted Microsoft and talked to different staff but nothing works. Rolling back to previous UEFI version is also not possible according to Microsoft.
Strangely I could not find any other mention online of people having the same problem
Is there any way to install Mint without USB boot?
Wubi would be an option, tho I prefer to replace the windows installation completely as there's only 64Gb
Thanks for any suggestions!
