I set up the laptop to dual boot between Windows 11, Linux Mint and Kali Linux. I did all of the setup with an external 4K monitor attached. Everything worked.
When I boot Linux Mint without the external monitor, the screen flashes solid white, black, half screen white, vertical colored lines, alternating. The flashing happens during the boot screen and continues for what should be the login screen. I can't see anything. No user interface visible, but I am able type in my password, hit enter and then the desktop is finally shown correctly. I think it's worth noting that the flashing on the screen becomes synced to my typing. More/extra garbage is displayed with each keystroke. I suspect all of the garbage flashed on the screen reflects an attempt to render the parts of the boot and login screens.
Thank you for any help you can provide. Very much appreciated.
