Toshiba NB205 veryslow bootingwith Netcableconnected !!!!!

I have Toshiba NB 205 -N310BN with 2gb Ram, dual boot of Win XP & Gloria.
It boots ok normally but when I connect a network cable & boot it takes a verrrrrrry loooong time.
I circumvent the problem by booting 1st, then connecting the Network cable - but it is a pain.
Any solution ????
