In the Mint's disk-management has a bug, but you can try to make partitions with fdisk and mkfs-programs.

http://linux.fi/wiki/Fdisk

http://translate.google.fi/translate?js ... l=fi&tl=en

http://linux.about.com/od/commands/l/blcmdl8_mkfs.htm

Code: Select all

Example:

sudo fdisk -l

.... you see the medias

sudo fdisk /dev/sda

....and you make the partitions and w at the end

....format eg. partition sda1

sudo mkfs.ext3 -c /dev/sda1

....and so on
Don't format partitions anymore, though the installing-program tries to tempt you ..
