black screen after update

Hello,
After a complete update and the NVIDIA driver install, i get a black screen when i boot in the 2.6.20.16 kernel option, in the other: 2.6.20.15 all is ok but some of the artwork is distorted or not correctly in place (no big deal)

i am running E 6850 dual core, on a Gigabyte P35 DS3, SATA II, ASUS EN 8800GTS
In KDE Cassandra

did i do something wrong ?

Hi

Each time you get a Kernel update you will have to reinstall Nvidia Driver and reset xorg

sudo envy -t

If Nvidia driver installed, uninstall and reinstall, then

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

Hello Nick,

Thanks for the tip, i did not manage to do it exact as you told but, i gave it a new install, then updated the whole thing and later installed the NVidia driver, so now everything works fine.
