You get the "string" to change at the bottom of the screen - unless something has changed
Safe graphics mode in Celena and Cassandra is the same as the "vesa" trick in the how to for the live CD - but it's still useful (and there's the odd break=button to test too)
Press F3 and select a low resolution and boot in safe graphics mode
It seems to have an ATI video card and that can be problematic

First try "safe graphics mode" the the button thing
