Problem while loading Linux Mint

Postby zimz » Wed Nov 14, 2007 9:26 am

Hi!
As the topic suggest, I have a problem while loading Mint. The problem is that the loading bar starts at normal speed, but when it comes to 50% or something, it just stops. I've had Mint installed before without the problem. Actually, the prob. came after I formated the disk and installed XP and Mint once more.

Any ideas out there?

Thanks anyway!

It's installed now, Celena. Thing is, it used to work before i formatted my hard drive and reinstalled Mint and XP. I'm using a HP Pavillion 6420.
Nvidia Go 7400 graphics card
Intel Core Duo CPU T2450
2048Mb ram
120Gb WD drive

Thanks!

I'm beginning to suspect the video card.
Can you boot into recovery mode and edit xorg.conf?
You should change the driver from nv (or nvidida) to vesa
