Boot from dvd-rom sata

Postby zeroone » Sun Nov 25, 2007 9:07 am

hi all
i'm trying to install mint 4 in a system with dvd-rom sata and hdd sata
but i obtain the same error
BusyBox v1.1.3 (Debian 1:1.1.3-2ubuntu3) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off

i tried to use at boot start the option acpi=force irqpoll and acpi=off but i obtain the same error
i think it happens becouse i use a dvd rom sata (but i have only that)
so do you know a method to install mint from a dvdrom sata?
thanks
regards

Optical SATA units are new..... (well...)
I've seen a note that Feisty does not install on a SATA DVD
But it may be something else so tell us "all" about your hardware
