Separate Home on new install (Solved)

On the next incarnation of Linux Mint (11) I would like to put my Home partition on a separate hard drive sdb. I have researched the process the best that I can, copied home to an new drive on a test rig and I am 95 % confident of what I am doing. My question is this; what happens to my mail, is there a path that I need to change in Thunderbird for my mail and address book ? I have looked at Thunderbird but I can't see anywhere to change the path. Thanks for you time on the matter

You could do it a safer way, back up your current /home folder including the .files and .folders, and install Mint 11 fresh when it is released, set the sdb to be mounted as /home, then restore your files to it.
