Boot splash illegible

Post by gtr1957 »

Mint 11 default splash screen is a very bright gray with white text for boot choices. The white text is very difficult to see on my HP mini 210 netbook. I have several OS's in partitions: Mint 11 RC, Mint 10, Fusion, and Windows 7. I do most of my work in Mint 10 and I'm investigating Mint 11. I do not think the current splash screen is a good choice. Predominately black, or at least a much darker gray theme would be much easier to use with white text. Is there any way to change the splash screen?

Mint 11 is not yet complete. Please read the release notes and report problems as bugs.

The JPG file of the background in Mint 11's ISO is corrupted. This file is in the /boot/grub or /boot/boot/grub folder (in the isolinux folder on the CD/DVD). You can replace the file with any JPG file you like to get another background.
