Live CD Fails to Boot, MacBook 2.16GHz

Postby Asphyxia8489 » Tue Feb 05, 2008 3:40 pm

Hey all, been playing around with Linux Mint on my desktop PC for a while now and I love it! So now is the time to install it on my MacBook I'm using the Linux Mint 4.0 Daryna LiveCD Main Edition and it boots fine on my desktop PC however I cannot get it to boot on my MacBook.
It's a Third Generation Black MacBook with a Core2Duo 2.16GHz CPU and 2GB of DDR2 RAM.

I've partitioned my drive up properly and everything should be working, basically the bootup goes fine until GNOME starts to load up and then the DVD drive just spins down and nothing much else happens after that, CTRL+ALT+Delete takes me back to the login screen but nothing happens on there and after 30 seconds the screen turns off.
Ubuntu loads up fine if this helps at all?
I get the Desktop wallpaper and the start of the GNOME taskbar (a long grey bar on the bottom of the screen) but nothing else.

If anyone has any ideas i'd really appreciate it.

Thanks
