I'm running Windows 10 on RDP using Remmina, is there a way to keep the VPS running when I turn off my computer?
It's an Amazon AWS VPS, if that's important to know.
I want to keep my VPS to Windows 10 open overnight even when I turn off my computer

I don't know what a VPS is, but cannot see how anything could be left open when the computer is powered off.

VPS = virtual private server, and beyond that know no more than you. Given that it is virtual and exists on the web I would think it would still be running when the PC is off.

Clearly then the solution is to ask Amazon.

Remmina wouldn't work, if the VPS was switched off. RDP doesn't have the capacity to wake a PC remotely, let alone a hosted VPS. If you are able to log into the VPS using Remmina, it means that the VPS is already on. In this way, you can know that whenever you are able to log in through RDP using Remmina, your VPS has been operational.Black Square wrote: ↑Wed Apr 07, 2021 12:03 pmI'm running Windows 10 on RDP using Remmina, is there a way to keep the VPS running when I turn off my computer?
According to Amazon's EC2 Pricing page, their free tier includes 750 hours free per month. 24 hours per day * 31 days per month = 744 hours. I don't see any reason for your VPS to ever be switched off, unless you switch it off yourself, or there is an unexpected outage at Amazon AWS.
