Brave Browser Doesn't Second Drive Anymore

Post by Metron »

Linux Mint 21, running Brave Browser.

When I download a file I was previously able to select my D drive. However, that suddenly stopped and the only place I can save a download to is in my Home directory or sub directory therein. I can use File Manager to move files anywhere so, that's what I have to do, after downloading.

At one point, it worked again, but after that has resumed the fault.

Metron.

Yes I know the D drive convention is Windows. I wasn't sure how to specify the second drive in the system.

The only place Brave allows me to save a downloaded file is in my Home directory.

That's because you have write permission only in home. Whats the permission for your other drive?

Using Nemo, I checked the permissions:

Owner and Group- Create and delete files

File access show 3 dashes, and when I try to change the permissions it reverts to the 3 dashes.

I checked Users, and I'm listed as the admin for the group.

Thanks for the assistance.
