Trouble installing ZynAddSubFX from RPM

Post by ibozzie »

I'm running Maya MATE 64x on a Dell XPS 15 and I'm trying to install ZynAddSubFX. The only options seem to be compiling from source and installing from RPM. I chose the latter because I'm not entirely comfortable compiling from source just yet, though I'd be willing to give it a shot if this doesn't pan out. I successfully aliened the RPM into a DEB and installed it; however, when I try to run it, I'm given the following error:

Code: Select all

zynaddsubfx: error while loading shared libraries: libfltk_images.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I've attempted to track down the missing library, and have installed the following packages:

libfltk-images1.3:i386
libfltk-cairo1.3:i386
libfltk-forms1.3:i386
libfltk-gl1.3:i386
libfltk-images1.3:
libfltk-cairo1.3:
libfltk-forms1.3:
libfltk-gl1.3:
libfltk1.3-dev
libfltk1.3-dbg
libfltk1.3-dbg:i386
libfltk1.1-dbg
libfltk1.1-dbg:i386
libfltk1.1-dev
libfltk1.1-dev:i386
libfltk1.3-compat-headers
libfltk1.3-dev:i386
libfltk1.1
libfltk1.1:i386
libfltk1.3:i386
libfltk-dev
libfltk-dev:i386
libfltk1.3-compat-headers:i386

Do I have to create some kind of symbolic link? My guess is that I have the library installed but ZynAddSubFX is looking for it in the wrong place.

One more choice is to install a debian-package.

Hah! Thanks very much. I guess I just assumed there wasn't one because the main site only linked to source and RPM.
