Minecraft Amco modpack not working

Im new to linux but I managed to install minecraft but when I tried adding the amco mod pack to it manually or through the instilation tool it comes up with this error

If anyone knows what it means in simpler terms please let me know and if you know how to fix it that would be great.

I've never played Minecraft, but I am a Java developer, and I can tell you that it's a very weird error to get. It says that somewhere in code, a function that does not exist is being called.
Could it be that there's a version mismatch between the game and the mod pack?

It might be ill go back through and recheck the versions, thanks for your input.
