I want to learn how to bring new software to Mint
Just what it says on the tin. I'd like to help bring software to the Mint repositories. Unfortunately I don't know how to do this and I'm not sure where to start. Could somebody tell me where I can find out how to bring software to the Mint repositories?

Maybe start by looking at the packaging guide over at Ubuntu is a good start:

Yes, anything added to a Ubuntu repository, gets added to Mint. Start at the-buntu and learn there.
(Just remember, only software licensed under GPL will be added to the standard repositories)
