Problem rendering fonts on Firefox & Thunderbird

Post by big_dog1968 »

Firefox and Thunderbird are improperly rendering fonts. Sometimes it works okay, and then sometimes there are gaps in certain characters. This occurs on the same characters regadless of what page it is on. This doesn't happen using Chrome browser at all, so it is a problem specific to FF & TB. I like to use Firefox and Thunderbird, so if anyone has a way of fixing this, I'd appreciate it.

I am running xfce on an HP Pavilion dv1000, 2GB mem, celeron, on board video.
