Nautilus v. Nemo share indication

Post by linuxdad »

Nautilus share.png
Nemo no share.png
Using Nautilus I can set sharing, but under Nemo I do not see it. This looks like Nemo is lacking the share feature that Nautilus has?

Same here -- no file sharing on the right click.

nemo-extensions were added to maya's and lmde repos; open synaptic and do a search for nemo:

@Zero-zero: thanks for the help, but how would one even know to look in Synaptic? These are the things that drive me crazy about Linx in general.

Thanks,
Bill

Those extensions do not show when I search for nemo -- ahh just realized you need to enable Romeo repo. A reboot was also needed. -- all is well now.

have you read this > http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=2177
nemo (and cinnamon 1.6) are "testing" software (that's why they were added to the romeo section of linuxmint repo); they will go now through community testing and later will migrate to the normal repos :)

as for the extensions, they were created 2/1 days ago (again they are available mainly for testing and debugging) https://github.com/linuxmint/nemo-extensions

I'm not complaining (well alittle), and yes I understand they are 'testing' products. As they're only available in the 'unstable' repo. Thanks again for the help!
